When Bear Feels Worried
Helping children notice worry, talk about it and discover what can help.
Worry is part of being human. The aim is not to promise that it will disappear, but to help children recognise it and discover safe, practical ways of moving through it with a trusted adult alongside them.

What’s included
Something for the child. Support for the grown-up.
- Guidance for parents and carers
- Steady Hearts child cards
- An illustrated story to share
- A comforting Bear companion
How it works
Bear supports the connection. The adult remains central.
Bear gives children something familiar and tangible to connect the strategies to. Children often need a steady adult before they can use a strategy, so the parent guide supports curiosity, connection and appropriate boundaries.
Not every difficult behaviour is worry. Understanding does not mean removing appropriate boundaries.
